Our Team

We are a dedicated group of financial professionals whose mission is to make a profound difference in the lives of our clients through the relationships we build and the advice we deliver.

Our experience in the industry helped us realize what clients value most — true customization and a culture of customer service. That’s why we started an independent practice based on dynamic consulting and honest, straight-forward advice. We are driven to work towards being the leading wealth management firm in Northern Michigan by providing our clients with sophisticated strategies while delivering the personalized service of a small town firm.

When I was 17, my grandfather took me aside and said, “Kevin, study money. You will always have work and you can make a real difference in people’s lives.” In the years that followed, I reflected on his advice and began to understand the importance of relationships and trust. I discovered that by putting an emphasis on personal relationships, I built trust. And with trust, I was able to help make a significant impact for those around me. This focus on client relationships allowed me to grow my practice in the tumultuous times of the 2007-2009 financial crisis.

Having moved to Traverse City in 2000 from the Detroit area, I was also aware of the impact that Northern Michigan has on the people who live, work and play “Up North.” But the big city-based large firms I worked for over the following 15 years didn’t fully understand this important sense of place. I wanted to stay true to my grandfather’s advice—which lead to my passion for markets and solving client problems—and match it with the fit and feel of Traverse City. This lead me to depart from the large firm and choose an independent channel for our practice. At Elemint Wealth Management, we offer the solutions and resources of a large firm—due to the backing of our clearing firm, LPL Financial, and partners at Private Advisor Group—with the friendly service and personal relationships you come to expect in your favorite small town.

I believe in giving back to the community. I serve on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan and as a mite hockey coach for the Grand Traverse Area Hockey Association. I’m married with two wonderful kids and enjoy golf, hockey and reading in my spare time.

When I was 13, my obsession with the stock market began. Once I learned that I could make money from owning pieces of paper, I was hooked. I spent four summers of my teenaged life watching and trading stocks. I built my business during the financial crisis by helping my clients stay calm and make rational decisions. It is my belief that chaos creates opportunities and I work hard with my clients to help them attain the best financial possibilities.

A native of Traverse City, I am passionate about the city in which I was raised. I am a board member of the Old Town Playhouse and a member of the Traverse City Economic Club. My wife and I live 5 doors down from my childhood home on Old Mission Peninsula with our two boys (Austin & Owen) and daughter (Ava). In my spare time I enjoy reading, boating, fishing, playing basketball and traveling with family and friends.

Education:
Bachelor of Arts: General Studies: Math, Economics, and History
University of Michigan

After leaving the University of Michigan in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies, I chose to pursue a career in professional golf. My professional golf career took me to four continents and over 20 countries and afforded me the opportunity to learn invaluable lessons about the world unique to a young person just removed from school. Ultimately, my journey led me to a realization of how special the Traverse City community is and a desire to return home to make a successful career for myself in my hometown. Upon my return home to the area, I became a licensed REALTOR, but found this role to be too transactional for my liking. My new role at Elemint affords me the opportunity to form more long-lasting relationships with clients which I find to be the fulfilling career path I was searching for. I am thrilled to be back living in Traverse City area, and I look forward to making a positive impact in the community both through my work professionally and charitably.

Having completed my series 7 and 66 licensing exams in March, I am at the beginning stages of my career in private wealth management, assisting our senior partners, Kevin and Christopher, as a licensed sales associate. I aim to provide the same level of customer service to existing Elemint Wealth Management clients that they have come to expect from Chris and Kevin, while at the same time allowing the firm to pursue new opportunities to grow and expand in the northern Michigan area.  In my spare time I enjoy golfing, fishing, reading, and working on home improvement projects.
